Waiting for the rainfall in Baguio

Not a Baguio virgin anymore! Here are pictures to prove it!

Larry --- shopping buddy extraordinaire!

The Torres-Vargas Tandem

We didn't get to walk around much due to the storm. Larry and I stayed at the Blue Mountain hotel most, watching 90's Tagalog flicks like Gagay: Prinsesa ng Brownout and GNN Channel 4: Kabuhayan Special (How to make Chicharon). If we're not at the hotel, you can see us strolling around SM Baguio, drinking at Starbucks like pros.

What I loved most about the trip was the food. Volante and Sizzling Steak were nom! Also, the taxi drivers were super nice. If the fare was 47.00 and you gave 50 bucks, they will still give you the three peso change! Metro Manila drivers suck compared to these local heroes.

I really enjoyed Baguio. I think I enjoyed it too much --- that I am now thinking of moving there for good. The weather was wonderful, even if there was a storm. I went crazy for scarves and trench coats (from the pictures, it's pretty obvious). CRAZY I TELL YA.

I cried upon arriving in Manila. It was like the real world was screaming, "WELCOME BACK TO HELL MOTHAFUCKAZ!" Another long weekend, please?

  2. Cool (literally)! I didn't think it would be THAT cold in Baguio that you'd be able to wear scarves (although maybe it was the storm too)!

And I must say "wow" to those taxi drivers! Bad trip mag-taxi dito sa Maynila. >_> Pfft.

  7. You should've tried the Pesto in Volante! And yes, there are cheaper Ukay places there. The one where you went to(I'm assuming) in the photo, which is Skyway sells expensive goods.

  11. Hi Tin! How did you find Blue Mountain? Will you recommend it? We're thinking of staying there this December, but we're having second thoughts... Your feedback will be very helpful. Thanks! =) - Cath
